On an attractive cheerful day we were getting ready to go on our trip to Waitangi.

Firstly, we stopped in Whangarei to have some lunch. There was a park so we played on the park for a few minutes and then we had to get back in our van lines and hopped back in our vans.
Secondly, we went to Ruapekapeka and we learnt to stop fighting amongst each other.

Thirdly we went to Te tii marae which is the best marae because that's where Whaea Cindy is from.It was amazing because there were several and numerous toilets and like four or five showers that was alright.

During the powhiri, we sat and listened. Finally we went to have breakfast had eggs on toast with bacon or cereal. After breakfast we went to the campgrounds to see where the treaty was first signed before they took it to the treaty grounds.
Before we walked to the treaty grounds we were put into groups. The tuakana went down to see the third Ngatokimatawhaorua waka because the original Ngatokimatawhaorua waka is in Otaua at my marae.
My great great grandfather built the original waka.

It wasn't long before we made a sculpture with clay and used a pattern of the waka.
So we can take something home that was special to most people.Although we made a sculpture that wasn’t the fun part,
the fun part was when we went to the treaty marae in the treaty grounds because we watched a Kapa Haka show.Once they finished we sung them a song and they loved it.When we came home we stopped in wellsford and filled up on gas.The trip made me feel joyful, lucky and sad because we had to leave.
